Budweiser Budvar
Budweiser Budvar, a national company, is a state brewing company in České Budějovice. It produces beer under the Budweiser Budvar, Budweiser Budvar, Czechvar (export to the USA) and Pardál (as of 2013) brands. It was established in 1966 by a decree of the Ministry of Food Industry. It is the most important and allegedly the only Czech national company still active; its current operation in a legal form, which has not been codified and regulated by the legal order of the Czech Republic since 1992, is the subject of legal disputes. Budvar is the fourth largest beer producer in the Czech Republic and the second largest exporter of beer abroad.
